Lifestyle Medicine

Lifestyle Medicine offers you health coaching and guidance through six pillars:

  • Diet and Nutrition

  • Physical Activity

  • Stress Reduction

  • Social Connection

  • Restorative Sleep

  • Avoidance of Risky Substances

A comprehensive history will be taken, and a detailed, bespoke plan will be put into action over a series of appointments.

Frequent check-ins will allow your plan to be modified to best suit your needs.

Family and friends can be included in implementing your plan if you prefer.

The aim is to help you take control of your health, with Dr Lee guiding you using evidence-based lifestyle measures alongside conventional medicine.

Lifestyle Medicine practitioners work collaboratively with all aspects of medicine in a holistic approach to care.

The goal is to prevent chronic disease, reduce its impact, and, where possible, act as an adjunct to or reduce the need for medication.

Dr Lee will work alongside you and can facilitate referrals to other experts in their field—such as medical specialists, dietitians, exercise physiologists, physiotherapists, and osteopaths—to ensure you receive the best possible care.

Adult ADHD Management

It is estimated that the prevalence of ADHD in adults in Australia is similar to international rates, at around 2–5%.

Dr Lee has experience in facilitating the diagnosis of ADHD (noting that diagnostic criteria can differ between states in Australia). This process includes taking a thorough history, conducting preliminary tests to rule out organic causes for symptoms, and assessing the safety of medication if treatment is considered. Dr Lee can refer you to mental health practitioners, such as psychiatrists, for assessment and formal diagnosis, provide medication management after diagnosis, and refer you to expert psychologists and ADHD coaches for ongoing support as part of your care team.
